How your work is protected

Where your data lives
All application data is stored in the European Union (Stockholm) on managed PostgreSQL infrastructure, under the GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Who can see your ideas
Every idea is private by default. Access is enforced at the database level through row-level security: whether a user can see a specific idea depends on permissions specified in the backend/database. These permissions in turn depend on whether the user has been explicitly invited to view the idea by the idea owner. The frontend cannot override these rules.
How AI is used
Arkhe Science uses a paid large-language-model tier selected specifically because it does not train on submitted data. Your ideas are processed to generate structure and challenges for you, and are never used to train or improve any third-party model.
Who can join
Access requires a verified academic email address, keeping the environment a community of researchers rather than an open platform.
Provenance & history
Every change to an idea is preserved as a time-stamped revision. This history is append-only — earlier versions are never silently overwritten — so the record of how an idea developed remains intact.
Transactional email (invitations, notifications) is sent through a GDPR-compliant provider under a data-processing agreement. Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) is configured on the arkhescience.com domain.
